The honeymoon fund is the accepted gift du jour but sometimes you want to give something more personal. In the absence of gift list guidance, here’s our round-up of thoughtful presents to suit every budget.
Less than £50
Image source: Modo Creative/Not on the High Street
Modo Creative’s personalised print (Not on the High Street, £25) is professionally finished in a white wooden frame with a choice of jade green, dusky pink or dove grey background. A sweet memento.
Crystal is traditionally associated with celebration; go classic with Waterford’s Giftology heart box (£50), providing a special place for the bride and groom to keep their new wedding rings.
A taste of English wine
Want to forgo a gift and give a memorable experience instead? Multiple award-winning vineyard Three Choirs offers a wine tasting and tour package (£12.50pp) at its locations in Hampshire and Gloucestershire. Perfect for the couple wanting to start laying down wines for their own cellar.
Less than £100
These Love Flutes True Love (set of 2, £95) from Waterford have a subtle but appropriately heart-shaped pattern. The happy couple can toast their marriage every year – plus many celebrations in between.
2. Tea for two
London’s Ham Yard Hotel is a quirky slice of village life in the middle of Soho. Its afternoon tea (from £21pp) includes traditional scones, jam and cream, as well as more exotic fare, such as rabbit sausage rolls with harissa mayonnaise and a house-glazed smoked ham served as a melt with Gruyère, mascarpone and thyme. All arranged on Wedgwood’s Mythical Creatures tableware, designed by Ham Yard Hotel founder Kit Kemp.
Less than £200
Champagne on ice
Waterford’s Elegance champagne cooler (£140, far right) is a timeless heirloom gift to be treasured for all special occasions – and just for everyday too. Pair with a vintage bottle of champagne for the ultimate wedding present.
2. Ultimate hamper

The iconic Fortnum & Mason picnic hamper is another evergreen gift for your couple to use and re-use throughout their marriage. The store offers hampers for every taste and budget but we like the Montagu (£150), an edit of the best of the F&M food hall.
3. Musical moments

A Crosley record player (£165) from Urban Outfitters has all the right retro chic credentials. Add a selection of the newlywed’s favourite records (and first dance song).
Blow the budget
The best wedding gifts can be cherished for generations to come. Waterford’s Lismore Diamond vodka set (£325) comes in a striking chill bowl with a silver insert and six shot glasses. A modern reinvention of a classic, the intricate cuts radiate light beautifully.
2. Packed to perfection
Send them off on their honeymoon with a set of quality luggage, built to last. We loved the Hartmann 7R Master (£575), available in rose gold or quartz.
3. Dream together
This garden hanging pod by Raymentwire (POA) is big enough for two to cosy up in and is hand-made in Kent. Father and son team Ron and Adrian Rayment offer a bespoke service too and can create contemporary or traditional designs unique to your couple.
